In Lao PDR, public water utilities called ‘Nam Papa’ provide water supply services in urban areas. Each of the 18 provinces has its own Nam Papa (PNP). This project focuses on strengthening the financial, technical, and operational capacity of the Luang Namtha PNP.
Through a peer-to-peer Water Operators’ Partnership (WOP), the project works on GIS, reducing water losses (NRW), improving water quality, and adapting to climate change.
The successful approaches and results from Luang Namtha are shared and expanded to all 18 provinces. This is done in partnership with local stakeholders and development partners to improve water services across the country.
