Results

Expected results include strengthened monitoring and analytical capacities of the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) and the Basin Administration Offices (BAOs), with over 150 experts trained. A comprehensive monitoring network is to be established, comprising 45 surface water stations, 20 groundwater stations, 10 groundwater quality systems, and 10 water quality systems. Laboratories within MoWE and five River Basin Organizations are to be upgraded, accompanied by training on field water quality equipment. A central dashboard is to be developed to support testing and validation of installed systems. In addition, experts are to be trained in bathymetric surveying and the use of advanced equipment such as ADCP, DGPS, MFPro, and Pica AA.
