Rebirthing of our foundational organisations
Like the seed in fertile soil, our foundation is shifting and growing. Waternet (City of Amsterdam drinking water & sewage) and Water Authority Amstel, Gooi and Vecht are once again separate organisations, yet united by the same mission healthy water cycles here and abroad.
This change brings up many emotions, both collectively and personally. But we choose action over nostalgia. Together with our tribe of colleagues and partners, we own the work ahead with leadership, care, and courage.
Collaboration for healthy water cycles
World Waternet stands strong, supported by Waternet and AGV’s shared energy to continue our global partnerships. Our international knowledge exchange benefits millions living in vulnerable water cycles and helps make working in a public water organisation a meaningful mission in Amsterdam and beyond.
With this support, we can grow our workforce development, innovation, and solidarity agenda.
Looking back to the future
In 2025 we made bold moves, sharpening our partnerships and investing in smart systems to prepare for the future. Now, our team is ready. Ready to scale up impact, to grow Water Cycle Partnerships, and to unlock more sustainable finance incl. 1% for technical assistance for stronger water oganisations.
We are proud of every step taken, every story shared, and every drop of impact made.
