Since the start of our Water Operators’ Partnerships, we have helped improve the lives of 3.5 million people. This has been achieved through better access to water and sanitation, and by strengthening the capacity and operations of our local partners.

We are World Waternet
Collaboration for a healthy water cycle
World Waternet is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to improving sustainable access to clean, sufficient and safe water for all. We support public water organisations through peer-to-peer knowledge exchange in water cycle management. We do this through long-term Water Operators’ Partnerships with water organisations in more than 10 countries to strengthen capacity, improve performance and enable them to provide a better service to more people.

We’re on a mission to improve the lives of 6 million people by 2030 ensuring access to clean water and safe sanitation
We believe that a healthy water cycle should be treated as a global common good, for future generations, in the interest of all
Environmentally aware
At World Waternet, we sometimes need to fly to support our partners on the ground. While we minimise travel wherever possible, we cannot avoid all emissions. That’s why we support Trees for All, a certified foundation that offsets CO₂ by planting and protecting trees in sustainable, community-driven projects around the world.
Trees are essential to life on earth. They absorb CO₂, release oxygen, and help stabilise the climate. But their impact goes further. Trees are also key to healthy water cycles, they prevent erosion, reduce sedimentation in rivers and reservoirs, and help maintain groundwater levels. In tropical regions, trees grow faster and absorb more CO₂, while also boosting biodiversity and local livelihoods.
By giving back to nature through reforestation, we aim to make our operations as circular and climate-resilient as possible, because water and forests are deeply connected.
