Background
The C2T programme is designed to strengthen policies and institutions in Kenya. In particular, to increase visibility and priority of an IWRM approach and respond to the Water Act 2016 by enabling more coordinated, effective, and transparent management of IWRM at catchment level.
Our impact
The C2T programme brings together partners in the water sector that will work alongside the IWRM stakeholders, building on existing work to improve access to, and the availability of, clean and safe water and sanitation services for all users. The specific objetives of the programme are to:
- Enhance resilience and sustainability of the IWRM sector considering climatic and socio-economic trends.
- Enhance capacity of relevant authorities in the IWRM sector in Kenya to develop and implement more integrated, coherent and collaborative nexus approaches to enhance and sustain water supply and sanitation for all.
- Enhance knowledge and sharing of information on the IWRM approach.
