New division Regional Managers
21 June 2022After 4 years, our colleague Koen Maathuis, Regional Manager West-Africa, will leave Mali and return to the Netherlands. He stops working as a Regional Manager for World Waternet and will continue to improve Dutch water management. To further improve our efficiency, the World Waternet team has transitioned from four to three Regional Managers as of the 15th of June 2022.
We are pleased to share that Janette Worm will take over the Regional Water Operators' Partnership (WOP) management of our West-Africa portfolio. Kees van der Lugt will manage the Regional WOP management of the Middle-East and North-Africa, plus Lao PDR and Suriname. Marieke van Nood will expand her Regional WOP portfolio in East-Africa, adding Tanzania to her portfolio and intensifying our work in Kenya and Ethiopia. All Regional Managers will remain based in Amsterdam.
Online/hybrid WOP support
To support the efficiency of our 3 Regional Managers and facilitating our online/hybrid working and knowledge management with our partners, we have a dedicated support team to strengthen the impact of all our Water Operator Partnerships. In addition, our ambitious teams in our WOP countries are continuing their work on-site!
The coming months we will continue with the transition of our World Waternet team-organisation into a more innovative, intelligent and interactive community.
