Come and meet us at the World Water Week!
22 July 2019The World Water Week (SIWI) will take place from 25 - 30 August in Stockholm. The programme consists of more than 200 sessions of different formats and covering a range of subjects. During the convener sessions, the most relevant topics on this year’s theme “Water for society: Including all” will be discussed. World Waternet will be present at the SIWI. We will participate in the following sessions:
Monday August 26th
Opening Plenary

The theme for World Water Week 2019, Water for Society – including all, will be presented in the Opening Plenary, where distinguished speakers are invited to share their insights and expertise from a professional perspective, but also from the heart.
Consultation on ADB's New Water Strategy
From 15:30 – 17:30 hrs

World Waternet will contribute ideas about the new water strategy of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). We will share our experiences with long-term Water Operators Partnerships (WOPs) and integrated water resources management.

Linking finance to governance: how development banks and technical assistance agencies can contribute to improving utility performance (GIZ)

This session takes a deeper look at the links between development finance, utility management and service delivery performance. Steven van Rossum (CEO World Waternet) will present our long-term Water Operator Partnership (WOP) in Mali and best practices of financing WOPs.
